Betrayal Trauma Recovery
Betrayal Trauma Recovery is a daily support group, with multiple sessions a day in multiple time zones. BTR also provides a free educational podcast for women needing immediate emotional refuge from the pain and chaos caused by their husband’s lying, gaslighting, manipulation, porn use, cheating, infidelity, emotional abuse, and narcissistic traits.
All of our betrayal trauma coaches are trained and certified and have personal experience.
Traditional therapy and couple counseling don’t identify or address the narcissistic, emotional & psychological abuse or sexual coercion. At BTR, you’ll never be labeled codependent. The abuse won’t be blamed on communication issues or relationship problems. We put your emotional, physical, and sexual safety first.
What We Believe In
BTR aims to stop emotional violence against women.
BTR aims to build a world-wide army of healthy women empowered to create, set, and hold boundaries to stop abuse.
Anne Blythe, M.Ed., Executive Director
After years of attempting to stop her husband’s pornography use and “anger issues”, he was arrested for domestic violence in 2015. Anne educates women about how to safely and effectively navigate their husband’s (or ex’s) abuse and establish peace in their homes and families. Anne was APSATS trained and is the producer and host of the Betrayal Trauma Recovery Podcast. She is frequently a requested guest on other podcasts and webinars, such as the The PBT Institute and Educate & Empower Kids. She has been a presenter at conferences such as the National Center on Sexual Exploitation Global Summit, Avaiya University Breaking Free From Abandonment & Betrayal Online Conference, and the largest anti-pornography conference in the world, Utah Coalition Against Pornography (UCAP). She now lives a relatively peaceful life with her three young children.
Coach Joi, Coaching Coordinator
Joi is a Betrayal Trauma Recovery Coach with 25 years experience. She specializes in helping women recognize and establish safety around their husband’s abusive behaviors. Similarly, she helps women navigate relationships where the abuse seems to have stopped, ensuring women stay safe.
She also specializes in secondary trauma by helping women hold appropriate boundaries for safety with the porn user, family, friends, clergy, and congregation members. She empowers women to opt-out of the abuse while holding strong to their faith (if they so choose), helping women from any/all faith backgrounds make decisions based on their values. Trained by APSATS (CPC), The American Association for Sex Addiction Therapy (PRC), and BYU-I & Aspen Family Wellness (BCC).
